Sample: I take refuge of that Somanātha, Who is like divine-light in the large and beautiful Saurāṣṭra province, Who has a crescent moon on the top, and Who has mercifully incarnated for the giving devotion.[1]

vinayavali04

Vinayavali 04 (Shiv Stuti) from Vinay Patrika by Tulsidas at Stutimandal

(Click on the above link for the full poem)

Sample: There is nowhere a donor like Śankara. He takes pity on the miserable, He is fond of only giving away, and He always likes those who ask (for something).[1] After killing (burning) Māra (Kāmadeva), the foremost among warriors, Śiva established him (again) in the world. How can I describe the act of pity of such a Lord when He is pleased?[2]
